Your Next Yoga Pants

Being a yoga teacher, I live in yoga pants.  My drawer is overflowing with Lululemon, but after the foot in the mouth incidents by Lululemon’s founder Chip Wilson, I need a break from Lulu.  I am sure I will still be purchasing Lulu’s again but for now, I’ve been exploring other brands.  If you are feeling the Lulu blahs as well, here are a few brands I have found that I am currently doing handstands for.

These are the most comparable to Lulu pants.  I love the fit and fabric and the super cute details.  Thinking about adding the Goddess Leggings and the Colorblocked pair to my daily repertoire.  I love the cobalt blue, so in for spring!  I wear a size 4 in Lululemon and would go with either a small or maybe even x-small (there wasn’t a huge difference but just in case they give).  I could also see myself living in this white pullover.  You can buy them a various yoga stores, Corepower Yoga in Chicago carries them, Nordstroms or on their website www.aloyoga.com

(Goddess Pants $92 , Pullover $68 , Color Blocked Pants  $68)

I bought a pair of these when I was in Sun Valley and super cute yoga teacher from Gather Yoga studio swore by them.  If you are looking to spice up your yoga wardrobe, Liquido’s crazy prints are a perfect addition.  I went with a blue leopard pair and get all kinds of compliments.  The best part about them is although the material has a bathing suit type of feel, they have great traction for arm balances, even when towards the end of class when I am super sweaty.  The different styles tend to run differently.  And trust me, when you hold them up they look like they could fit a doll, which may deteore you from trying but they stretch A LOT and will end up fitting so try them!! Bonus…if you are a teacher, you can register on their website for 20% discounts on all their gear! AMAZING!!! www.liquidoactive.com

(Tie Dye x-long legging $85.95, Watercolor Cropped  $85.95,  Amazon Shorts $44.50 )

This brand is carried at many yoga studios and I always find myself drawn to it.  Rightfully so, their pants are a good basic but also come with cool details like side paneling for a slimming look and my favorite, mesh cut outs to show a little skin.  I love this little bralet as well, a good deviation from my hot class sports bra.  And bonus, all made in the USA, keep’n it real.  www.beyondyoga.com

(Blue With Side Panelling Pant $93.00, Bralet $69.00, Mesh Cut-Out Legging $95.00)

Spiritual Gangster

My last suggestion for chic yoga clothes are for the top half of your body.  I love this brands name and their great tees that I would defiantly pair with any of the above pants.  Who says gangsters can’t do yoga?  We don’t judge.  www.spiritualgangster.com

(Yin Yang $65.00 , Happy and Free Tank $39.00 ,Buddha Tank  $39.00)
